Co-Founders and Owners of Assistance Home Care
"We founded Assistance Home Care in honor of my Mom. The most important thing to her was her family and having good quality time together. And that was usually done right around the kitchen table. It is our commitment to you to help bring your family back around the table. Let us do the busy work, so that you can have good quality time with your family." - Sally Serfas
Sally Serfas, Chief Care Officer and Co-Founder
As a family caregiver herself, Sally knows that the best way to give people exactly what they want is to listen to their needs. She has spent a lifetime listening, planning and problem-solving for her parents, while nurturing her community as an elementary teacher. Whether it be fund raising for Alzheimer’s or teaching PSR at our church, Sally has seized countless opportunities to support others, and it has been her honor. Sally spent five years as a caregiver to her mother, who ultimately lost her fight with Alzheimer's. Sally's deep participation with her mom and in the human condition along with an understanding of what families can go through led her to co-found Assistance Home Care in her mother's honor and build a truly caring and compassionate community of caregivers. Sally graduated with a B.A. Degree in Education from Lindenwood University. Sally has also completed the Companion Connection Senior Care syllabus and graduated as a national member of this organization of independent care giving companies.
