Sally Serfas, Chief Care Officer and Co-Founder

As a family caregiver herself, Sally knows that the best way to give people exactly what they want is to listen to their needs. She has spent a lifetime listening, planning and problem-solving for her parents, while nurturing her community as an elementary teacher.  Whether it be fund raising for Alzheimer’s or teaching PSR at our church, Sally has seized countless opportunities to support others, and it has been her honor. Sally spent five years as a caregiver to her mother, who ultimately lost her fight with Alzheimer's.  Sally's deep participation with her mom and in the human condition along with an understanding of what families can go through led her to co-found Assistance Home Care in her mother's honor and build a truly caring and compassionate community of caregivers. Sally graduated with a B.A. Degree in Education from Lindenwood University. 


Allen Serfas, Certified Senior Advisor (CSA), President and Co-Founder

Allen is Co-Founder and President of Assistance Home Care and a national member of the Companion Connection Senior Care organization. Allen graduated with a degree in Finance from the University of Iowa. Allen enjoyed a 20+ year career and executive management experience as Vice-President with Enterprise Rent-A-Car, a leader in the car and truck rental industry. Allen thrived in Enterprise's entrepreneurial and customer service focused environnment helping the company open up new locations, expand new territories along with pioneering their newest operating division. Allen supported the growth and success of Enterprise's Commercial Truck Division from it's beginning in 1999 to serving over 85 major markets across the country. Allen served the industry as Chairman of the Board for the Truck Rental and Leasing Association. Allen's commitment to customer service, exceeding customer's expectations and his commitment to employee development were the key ingredients to his success at Enterprise. These key ingredients are at the heart of the foundation of Assistance Home Care.

In addition, Allen made the decision to earn the nationally accredited Certified Senior Advisor credential in order to better serve seniors. The CSA curriculum focuses on the aging process. How it impacts the lives of seniors and their families as well as how it affects their decisions and applying these insights to improve their lives.

Allen is actively involved with his wife in supporting the ALS Association, Alzheimer’s Association,  APDA, Memory Care Home Solutions, Community Council, Aging Ahead and numerous local organizations helping to provide advocacy and support for the Saint Louis senior community.  Allen commits every day giving back to his local community to help ensure Assistance Home Care is available to all of those who are in need of help and support to maintain their safety, dignity and independence at home.
